Romani is one of the Surrey folk scene’s best-kept secrets – for now. Opting for a country-flavoured approach that marks him out from his current contemporaries, Romani boasts a cool, emotive vocal; several great songs; and a talented backing band / production team capable of bringing said songs to richly textured life. From this EP’s uptempo title track to the wistful Old Man’s Lament, Romani shows all the signs of a star on the rise.
