The Kut – ‘Alekhine’s Gun’ [Review]
Jesus Henry Christmas…this is something else. The Kut mix a whole bunch of grunge and alt-rock influences, all of whom happen to be bands I love. Alekhine’s Gun mixes Deftones-esque vibes with Hole’s gutsy attitude, and then throws in a whole bunch of screams that take things somewhere else entirely. Fuck yes.
If this track doesn’t make you excited for The Kut’s upcoming Rock Paper Scissors EP, you should look yourself in the mirror and wonder where society and your parents went wrong.
