Cyclamen – ‘Departure (Feat. Yuuri)’ [Review]

Imagine a Japanese tech-metal band distantly orbiting Planet SikTh, and augmented by Yuuri of Outside The Coma. Think grim post-rock atmospherics, tangled and tortured riffs, and frenetic beats.
Sounds sick? You bet. And below, you’ll find exactly that.
Over the past seven years, Cyclamen have made a serious name for themselves through the magic of the Interwebs while supporting the likes of SikTh, Meshuggah, and Periphery in the analogue world. Here, that experience really shows – and it’s little wonder that even after seven years, this band/project is still going strong. Cyclamen possess all the skill, strength, stamina, and passion required to satisfy the most discerning tech-metalheads; if you doubt it, press repeat a few times…
