Skye Edwards – ‘In A Low Light’ [Review]

Imagine lying on a wide, warm waterbed, quietly letting go of the world. Literally lying In A Low Light. First tracks Give In and Here Is What Is, fuelled by soft synths and Skye Edwards’ sparse vocal, provide precisely this feeling.
Sometimes, you need a quality detox from the chaos of modern life – and once it’s over, you’ll want to get moving again. Slinky and seductive single Said And Done provides all you need, as does ruminative breakup song Dead And Buried.
Storm and Cry and For The Day bring back soft waves with a touch more intensity. Gradually, barely perceptible anxieties rise and fade, allowing In A World Unkind and Never Ending to bring the whole thing to an elegant and peaceful close.
In A Low Light. An ultra-cool, stylish, delicate, and carefully paced journey.
