Alyusha – ‘Black Butterfly’ [Review]

Alyusha Black Butterfly Song Review Soundcloud

I love trip-hop – and if you’re on the same page, you need to check Alyusha out ASAP.

Black Butterfly is a seriously self-assured masterclass in songwriting and composition. I’m struggling to move on, as all music journalists must, to the next act on my listening list even after an hour’s worth of repeated plays. Fair play to Alyusha for that – although if all the world’s up and coming musicians were this good, I’d never get anything done.

TMMP RATING: 95%

Also, be sure to check out Alyusha’s official website – and be sure to check out Alyusha playing with Submotion Orchestra in place of SubMo vocalist Ruby Wood. Tour dates can be found on Submotion Orchestra’s official website, and I reviewed their spectacular set at Brighton’s Concorde 2 here. It’ll be worth the trip. Trust me.
